How do you improve at multiplayer without burning out?

I'm a beginner and wanted all the fancy tools. What helped more was one notebook, one reminder, and being willing to be clumsy with the setup.

First try was disappointing, second went surprisingly well, third was humbling. Playing on PC got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam. How do you keep improving without burning out?

Make the next step small enough to do today. A little momentum can answer half the question.

If two options look equal, pick the one that's easier to reverse. Come back with what happened; the details will help with the next answer.

yep, the boring details matter

I can already hear the menu music.

I'd try it in a small, testable way rather than fixing everything at once. The boring setup helps a habit survive a busy week. Make the next step obvious, keep notes on what worked, and ask someone who's done it recently rather than someone with strong opinions.

I was going to disagree, but your second sentence got me

I'd ask one more question before choosing an approach.
