Why does finding a job seem easier for everyone else?

My first try was disappointing, the second went surprisingly well, and the third humbled me. One thing surprised me: the library changed how it felt. Same plan, different setting, completely different energy. Does anyone else feel like this is easier for everyone else?

The library example is interesting. This would’ve saved me a lot of trial and error.

Would love a follow-up after four weeks on how you’re weighing the job environment.

That would annoy me more than it helped.

that is fair, but I still worry about maintenance

I’d prioritize emergency savings before tiny investment differences. Boring liquidity prevents expensive panic.

I would love a follow-up example

People have such different constraints, though. A checklist helps me, but the hidden expense is usually time.

Totally agree, especially for beginners

Can you expand on that a bit?

Ask for the total compensation, growth path and manager expectations. Salary matters, but so does the environment you will live in daily. I learned that one the expensive way

Run the numbers on a normal month and a bad month. If the plan only works in a normal month, it’s probably too fragile.
