I changed one thing and suddenly editing made sense for absolute beginners

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 3 attempts teh pattern is pretty clear. When I keep teh setup simple, I actualy follow through.

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. photos got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep teh first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate teh boring repeat

I disagree a bit. made matters, but the bigger issue is usually expectations. My friend tried it in Cairo and had the opposite result

do you think this would work in a smaller place than Istanbul? My friend tried it in Kuala Lumpur and had the opposite result

Respectfully, I see it the other way

This made me smile more than expected. I would write it down before changing anything else

Mildly negative take: the simple version is sometimes just underexplained. A little friction removed goes a long way. I like that it feels lived-in instead of over-polished
