Turing test is a deeper rabbit hole than I expected for absolute beginners

en.wikipedia.org

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep teh first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate teh boring repeat

Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about teh version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.

Part of me wanted teh fancy version with all teh tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with teh route for a while.

I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions

I am skeptical. The idea sounds good, but the maintenance cost is real. This is more useful on a tired weekend than on a perfect day

Kind of wild how often idea is the whole issue

Respectfully, I see it the other way

I get the appeal, though I would be careful calling it the best option. The gentle part is easy to underestimate

That is a good boundary

@lanternMender19 Same here. It took me too long to learn

Anecdotally, this tracks with what I have seen. That is where the boring checklist helps

great point, especially the part about hole. I learned that one the expensive way

can you share what you tried before this?

The conclusion is too broad but the example is interesting. I used to overcomplicate this constantly

what would you change if you started over? It reminds me of a very specific conversation near a neighborhood park. Naming things remains undefeated as the hardest problem

That is a surprisingly elegant way to frame it. A little friction removed goes a long way
