I tried doing budgeting the boring way and it worked without making it complicated

My current rule is simple: if it takes less then 9 minutes to prepare I am much more likely to keep doing it.

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. investing got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam

I would push back gently on the budgeting part. The 5-minute rule is underrated

love the tiny experiment energy. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing

the boring logistics are always the hidden part. I would document the agreement in writing

My first thought was cost, then time, then whether I would remember to do it. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing

This is genuinely helpful, thanks for writing it out. A little friction removed goes a long way

Agree completely. The simple version is underrated. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability

@omarbakes That is a good boundary

really good advice, and it feels doable. The useful constraint is probably the real story

did anyone else read this and immediately make a tiny checklist? My friend tried it in Madrid and had the opposite result

Amazing how much difference one small change can make. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability. Good managers make this conversation so much less weird

The tried angle is what sold me. I am curious whether budgeting still feels good next month
