I tried doing css the boring way and it worked that actually stuck

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 8 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actualy follow through.

I started this because my late summer felt a little stuck, and javascript seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the route for a while

that is a good question for people with more experience than me. This pairs weirdly well with banana bread

agree completely. The simple version is underrated. This pairs weirdly well with dumplings

the worked angle is what sold me. It sounds small, but the prototype matters

Amazing how much difference one small change can make. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability

Do you think this would work in a smaller place than Melbourne? The 2-minute rule is underrated

yep, the boring details matter

Same here. It took me too long to learn

that is fair, but I still worry about maintenance

Small caveat: context changes the answer a lot

Totally agree, especially for beginners

my wallet felt that

This feels a little overrated to me, even if the intention is good. That is the kind of detail beginners miss. I would love to see the benchmark numbers

I wanted to like this but the actualy argument is weak. This pairs weirdly well with pierogi

This is the kind of disagreement I like

I disagree a bit. stuck matters, but the bigger issue is usually expectations. The Lagos example makes it feel concrete

I think the bad version of this advice causes a lot of frustration. The practical constraint is probably the real story. Naming things remains undefeated as the hardest problem

Beautifully put. I needed that reminder today. This is exactly the kind of tradeoff teams argue about for weeks

This is adorable and oddly motivating. My friend tried it in Buenos Aires and had the opposite result. Naming things remains undefeated as the hardest problem
