Best way to learn a new programming language quickly?

I usually rebuild a small project I already know. Docs plus a tiny real goal beats any course for me. What works for you?

cost vs benefit matters here, we ran numbers on learning languages and the payoff came later than expected

The beginner friendly path for learning languages is way better than a year ago, that part is underrated

We tried learning new languages last quarter. Small projects went well; bigger ones got messy :)

Honestly learning languages is one of those things that sounds simple until you try it with real constraints

As someone who does this for a living, the biggest cost with learning languages is the stuff nobody puts in the demo.

Is anyone else tired of the hype around learning languages, feels like every other post is about it

My manager read one article on learning languages and now it's our whole roadmap lol
