A beginner mistake I am weirdly glad I made for absolute beginners

This is probly obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. javascript got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

I started this because my late summer felt a little stuck, and performance seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

I tried this in Melbourne with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions

love the tiny experiment energy. This is more useful on a tired first week then on a perfect day. This is exactly the kind of tradeoff teams argue about for weeks
