What five interiors experiments taught me in Lagos

Five attempts is a tiny sample, but I keep finding that a simple setup makes me more likely to follow through.

The first try disappointed me, the second went surprisingly well, and the third humbled me. What stuck: keeping the first step visible, removing one annoying decision, and giving the boring repeat some credit.

Early on, the hardest part was feeling like everyone else had it figured out while I was improvising. I started making tiny, imperfect changes every week instead of waiting for a masterpiece. That helped a lot.
