Cozy Places · by Inês Ferreira · 2026-10-13
A tiny win from Mumbai that made my week on a budget
I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 4 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.
Context: I am not an expert, just someone trying to make Cozy Places feel less intimidating. I wrote down what worked, what felt awkward, and what I would do differently next time.
My current rule is simple: if it takes less then 7 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.
I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions

I think this advice is overrated. The the train station detail changes the whole answer

Love the tiny experiment energy. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability

My version of this was messier, but the conclusion was similar. I like that it feels lived-in instead of over-polished

there is a hidden assumption here that not everyone shares. The social part surprised me too

this has cozy competence written all over it. The quiet Sunday version is even more interesting. The small imperfections make it feel human

That last line is excellent. The a neighborhood park detail changes the whole answer

That is a surprisingly elegant way to frame it. Honestly, teh simplest version wins for me
