A tiny story about tacos, Toronto and timing from the train station
The detail that surprised me was how much a trailhead changed the outcome. Same plan, different setting, completely different energy.
This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. performance got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.
A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

This depends heavily on budget, time and personality. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error

This is useful for some cases, but terrible advice if the stakes are high. I would write it down before changing anything else. I would love to see the benchmark numbers

Mildly negative take: the simple version is sometimes just underexplained. I learned that one the expensive way

I do not have a strong take, but the tiny detail is useful. I used to overcomplicate this constantly. Good reminder that tools should serve people, not the reverse

I am skeptical. The idea sounds good, but the maintenance cost is real. A little friction removed goes a long way

I am skeptical. The idea sounds good, but the maintenance cost is real. That is where the boring checklist helps

That is a surprisingly elegant way to frame it. I used to overcomplicate this constantly. This is exactly the kind of tradeoff teams argue about for weeks

the boring logistics are always the hidden part. The Nairobi example makes it feel concrete

I think both things can be true

This sounds sensible, though I would need to test it myself. The practical part is easy to underestimate

This made me smile more than expected. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near the corner shop
